Easy Salmon Mold Recipe

salmon moldIf you love salmon half as much as I do then you will want to try this recipe. This is one of those easy recipes that anyone can make.

Ingredients:

2 v. Salmon
2 TB. Vinegar
1 / 2 tbsp Salt
1 / 8 tsp. Pepper
1 Tb. Gelatin
1-1/2 boiling water

Steps:
First get rid of the skin and bones of the salmon when it is taken from the can and chewed it thoroughly with a fork.

Add vinegar, salt and pepper. Prepare the gelatine by dissolving it in boiling water.

Add the seasoned salmon to the prepared gelatin. With cold water, wet a mold shaped ring having an open space in the center.

 Add the salmon and gelatin mixture in pan and let stand until it solidifies. Arrange a bed of lettuce leaves on a chop plate, turn the mold on this subject, and fill the center with dressing.

Serve immediately. Sufficient to serve six years.

1/4 c. frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 T. + 1-1/2 tsp. white wine vinegar or cider vinegar
1 T. chopped fresh basil OR 1 tsp. dried basil leaves
1-1/2 tsp. olive oil
1 (8-oz.) salmon fillet (about 1-in. thick)
4 c. torn mixed greens
3/4 c. sliced strawberries
10-12 thin cucumber slices, cut into halves
1/8 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper

Directions to make Patchwork Salmon Salad

Step 1:  Whisk together the first 4 ingredients. Set aside 2 T. juice mixture. Reserve remaining mixture to use as salad dressing.
Step 2:  Preheat grill for direct grilling. Grill salmon, skin side down, over medium coals 5 minutes. Turn and grill 5 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork, brushing frequently with 2 T. juice concentrate mixture.
Step 3:  Cool slightly. Toss together greens, strawberries and cucumber slices. Place on 2 serving plates. Remove skin from salmon. Break salmon into chunks. Arrange salmon on greens mixture. Drizzle with reserved juice concentrate mixture. Sprinkle with pepper. You are now ready to serve this delicious salmon recipe.

1 cn Low-salt chicken broth,14 1/2 oz
6 c Sliced mushrooms
2 tb Olive oil
2 Garlic cloves, minced
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1/2 c Non-fat plain yogurt
2 ts Cornstarch
4 Salmon steaks, about 6 oz ea

Directions to make Delicious Salmon and Sauce

Step 1:Pour broth into small saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat and reduce to 1 cup. Set aside. Meanwhile, saute mushrooms in oil in a large skillet over high heat 5 minutes, or until golden brown. Reduce heat to medium and stir in garlic. Saute 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 2:Season with pepper. Add yogurt and cornstarch to reduced broth and whisk to blend. Whisk yogurt mixture into mushrooms. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and keep warm.
Step 3:Season salmon steaks with salt and pepper and saute in a lightly oiled non-stick pan over medium-high heat 10 minutes per inch of thickness, or until fish just flakes when tested with a fork. Turn once while cooking. Arrange each salmon steak on a dinner plate with reserved sauce

12 ea Ginger, slivered, julienned
4 ts Scallion, white only, shredded
2 tb Soy Sauce
1 tb Chicken Stock
1 pn Pepper, white, ground
1 ds Oil, vegetable
1 ds Oil, sesame

Directions to make Steamed Salmon with Black Bean Sauce

Step 1:If fillets are thicker than 1/2 to 5/8 inch, carefully cut in half horizontally (as you would an English muffin). Trim each into a neat 4-inch square. Cut off tops and bottoms of peppers to leave a band about 2 inches wide; remove seeds and ribs. Cut two 4-inch long rectangular pieces from each. Cut into 1/8-inch julienne, leaving pieces grouped in a neat rectangle.
Step 2:Place salmon on an oiled steamer tray or plate. Use a cleaver or knife blade to transfer pepper rectangles to fish, completely covering each fillet. Scatter bamboo shoots over the fish, then sprinkle with black beans, ginger and scallions.
Step 3:In small bowl, stir together soy sauce, chicken stock, white pepper, vegetable oil and sesame oil. Pour mixture over. Steam in covered steamer (making sure that water boils steadily but does not boil away) until just cooked through and opaque, 5 to 8 minutes (timing varies according to thickness of fish). Carefully transfer to serving plate, spoon sauce around and serve immediately.

How to bake salmon – Season salmon, then brush with butter or substitute. Place in a greased baking pan and cook in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes per inch of thickness. Measure at the thickest point. Salmon should flake when done.

Step 2:Roll out the pastry sheet to double its size. Liberally brush it with melted butter. Spread the salmon mixture over the sheet. Roll up, jelly-roll style, folding the ends in to seal. Brush the top of the roll with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Step 3:Make 1/2 inch deep diagonal slashes across the roll to allow steam to escape. Bake the roll for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden.

Step 1:Boil linguine according to the package instructions or make it fresh. Cool under cold running water and set aside.
Step 2:Flour the prawns and salmon lightly. In a large saute pan, heat the olive oil over high heat, then add the prawns and salmon and saute for 1 minute. Add the leeks and mushrooms (one at a time), and saute for 1 minute after each addition. Next, add wine, marjoram, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, and butter. Saute lightly for 1 minutes. Add broth, lower heat and simmer for 2 minutes, adding more broth if the mixture becomes too dry. Add the drained linguine and mix well, then simmer for 1 minute.
Step 3:To serve, place linguine on a plate first, decorate with prawns, then pour the remaining sauce over both. Garnish with parsley.

Ingredients to make Creamy Seafood Risotto

5 cups water
16 fluid ounces bottled clam juice
1 (6.5 ounce) can chopped clams, drained with juices reserved
1/4 cup butter
1 yellow onion, chopped
2 cups Arborio rice
3/4 cup white wine
1/2 teaspoon saffron
1 teaspoon dried basil
8 ounces cooked salmon
kosher salt
ground black pepper

Directions to make Creamy Seafood Risotto

Step 1:Place water, bottled clam juice, and reserved juice from canned clams into a medium saucepan. Set over medium-high heat; bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
Step 2:In a large pot or deep skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in onion, and cook until softened, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Stir in rice, and cook, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes. Do not let rice brown. Pour in wine, and cook, stirring, until the wine is evaporated. Add 1/2 cup of simmering broth, and stir until the broth is almost all evaporated. Then add another 1/2 cup of broth. Stir in saffron and basil. Continue adding broth 1/2 cup at a time and stirring until the liquid has evaporated until the rice is almost al dente, about 20 minutes.
Step 3:When the inside of the rice is slightly more firm than you desire in the final dish, stir in clams, flaked salmon, and 1/2 cup broth. Stir until the liquid evaporates. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in 1/2 cup broth, and stir vigorously. Remove from heat before the liquid has completely evaporated.
